If you speak to people it seems that everyone has been to a car boot sale at least once in their lifetime, but why do people go to these events? What is the real reason for people going to these very poor events, is it the need for a bargain or your Gran dragging you around it?
Whatever the reason this is are these kinds of sales dying out or are they actually worth going to? Well the simple answer is, its up to you really. There are some legitimate reasons to going to one of these sales.
Reason 1
The thing is there are sometimes decent bargains to be found here. The reason is that most people have no idea on how their things are worth and some of these are actually worth a bit of money which is why you should always haggle people for the prices. You can quite often pick up really cheap DVD’s and Video Games for yourself and there are programs on television aimed at looking for cheap antiques in a car boot to sell at auctions for a large profit.
Reason 2
Be nice to the old granny and carry the things that she buys from the nutters that sell things at these car boot sales. Perhaps if you help her out she will give you 50p for it, remember the days in which 50p was a lot of money to you.
The Bad Things
Reason 1
The thing is that these sales do not really sound too legal, scruffy looking people selling things from the back of their cars, hmmm? It sounds like something the law should be getting involved in.
Reason 2
The problem is you have no idea if the item works until you get home. The problem is that when you are getting some like a DVD you cannot test to see if it is working until you arrive back home which means you cannoy return it.
So if you are thinking about being one of these sellers it could be worth looking into Audi leasing or leasing vans to make sure you have the room for all the junk. Car leasing is also something else you could look into.
