If you did a poll to people and asked what their dream car would be I can almost guarantee that it would be something very fast, very shiny and that would attract attention from the opposite sex. So where on earth does this idea come from?
Games
Computer games like Forza and Grand Turismo are getting more and more realistic and the new GT game is looking fantastic and personally I cannot wait to play it. I have to say that I am an Xbox guy so nothing will replace my Forza 3. People sit down and play these games and think “wow, I would love to have that car”. Not only do people get to see how good the car looks thanks to the recent advancements in graphics but because the developers take time to really put the feel of the car into the game you almost get to take it for a test drive.
Childhood
I remember the days in which I sat playing with the model cars I had been bought and thinking I would simply love to own this Ferrari or something along those lines. At that stage it is almost as if you actually sit down and set yourself a goal, you know what kind of car you are going to be getting at such a small age. This, for many older people who have never experienced the joys of the Xbox 360 and PS3, is where all of these ideas come from.
Celebrities
Celebrities have a followers there is no doubt about that, many of these people will take notice of most of things they do in their lives and the cars they drive is certainly one of them. A lot of people would be very happy that they own the same car as someone famous.
Of course realistically this is not going to happen and people are struggling to get a car on something like bad credit car finance or bad credit car leasing. Other options like gap insurance and car leasing are out there to help people who want that fast car.
